| With the recent introduction of the DataMan™
7500 Series handheld ID readers, Cognex now offers a broad range
of readers for industrial ID applications. |
ID Products quickly and reliably read codes (two-dimensional
codes such as Data Matrix ™, 1D codes, and others) that
have been stamped, etched, or otherwise formed directly on surfaces
of manufactured items. Applications for these fixed-mount and
hand-held readers include part traceability and process control
in the automotive, aerospace, and electronics industries.

Today, the fastest growing industrial identification (ID)
segment is Direct Part Mark (DPM) identification. DPM ID
involves directly forming machine-readable codes on manufactured
items and tracking those items as long as they are useful.

DataMan™ 100 - The World's Smallest High
Performance ID Reader NEW!
Smaller than a flip phone, the new DataMan™
100 reads codes ranging from simple printed bar codes to
the most challenging 2D direct marked codes. The powerful fixed-mount
reader delivers strong code reading performance when identifying
items marked with 1D or 2D codes at up to 45 parts per second.
Integrated illumination, beeper, adjustable optics, built-in
aimer and push-button trigger make setup and operation fast
and easy.

cordless model uses Bluetooth communications to connect to the

DPM code reading for all applications.
